Central project for quantitative biomedical imaging

Project content

The quantification of biochemical and biophysical tissue properties by means of medical imaging is crucial for improving diagnoses and therapy decisions. Quantitative imaging is the central technology within the SFB for all subprojects related to the in vivo characterisation of tissue matrix changes due to pathological processes. C03 provides all SFB projects with up-to-date imaging technologies for the acquisition of quantitative tissue-intrinsic parameters for the characterisation of pathologically altered ECM, i.e. measurement performance and training of new methods, test and reference objects, elastography hardware, as well as standardised measurement, reconstruction and data processing.
